PixInsight試用版の導入！

天体写真専用画像処理プログラムのPixInsight（PI）試用版を導入してみました。
このプログラムのトライアルライセンスの有効期間が４５日間の限定版です。


プログラムセットアップ後の初期画面。

1.トライアルライセンスの入手

(1)pixinsight.com ホームページメニューバーの LICENSES から
　Request Free Trial License 　をクリック。

(2)リクエストフォームが表示されるので、これに必要事項を入力し
　一番下の Submit ボタンを押す。

メールアドレスに、リクエストを受け付けたという内容のメールが最初に届き
その数時間後に、プログラムのライセンスなどの導入手順と取扱事項を内容
とした２通目のメールが届きます。
（この記事の最後の方に、直訳付きでメール内容を記してあります）

2.プログラムをダウンロード

(1)ホームページメニューバーの DOWNLOADS から Software Distribution
 をクリック。

(2)ログインページが表示され、２通目のメールに書かれてある
　UserNameとPasswordを入力。

(3)OS に合ったプログラムを選択してダウンロード。

3.アプリケーション(.exe)のインストール

「I agree to the ・・・・」に✔を入れてINSTALLボタン
　をクリック。

4.インストール後、スタートにあるpixinsightアイコンを
　クリックして、プログラムを起動する。

　ユーザーIDと有効なアクティベーションコードを入力するように
　求めてきますので、２通目のメールに書かれてあるUser identifierと
　Activation codeを入力してOKボタンをクリックする。

 

 

しかし、この後すぐに次のような警告メッセージが表示。
（Don't show againに✔を入れて、OKをクリックしておけば
次回のプログラム起動時には表示しません。）

直訳すると・・・。

[PixInsight  - 危険な一時フォルダー]

「システムの一時フォルダがイメージスワップファイルの保存に使用されています。
システムの一時フォルダに保存されているファイルは、特定のプラットフォームやシステム構成によっては、オペレーティングシステムやファイル管理ユーティリティによって自動的に削除されることがあります。
PixInsightによって作成されたイメージスワップファイルを保存するためにこれらのフォルダーの1つを使用する場合、関連するイメージまたはプロジェクトがまだPixInsightコアアプリケーションの実行中のインスタンスで使用されている間にいくつかのスワップファイルが削除されると問題が発生します。
あなたは設定プロセス、ディレクトリとネットワークセクションでスワップファイルディレクトリを定義することができます。」


上の内容について、或る解説記事では・・・。

「スワップイメージファイルの保存先としてシステムの一時フォルダが選択されている場合（Linuxの場合は/ tmp、Windowsの場合は％USERPROFILE％\ AppData \ Local \ Tempなど）、アプリケーションの起動時に警告メッセージが表示されます。 このメッセージは、一時ファイルを自動的に削除するためのシステムポリシーの結果としてアクティブイメージスワップファイルが削除される可能性があることについてユーザーに通知するためのものです。 この警告メッセージは、[今後表示しない]チェックボックスを使用して無効にしたりできます。」

ちなみに、スワップファイル (swap file)とは・・・
使っていないメモリの内容を一時的にしまっておくためのファイル。

2. Activating Your Trial License

The first time you run the PixInsight core application, it will ask you to enter a user identifier and a valid activation code for your operating system. Here are your user identifier and initial activation codes for your trial license:

Your trial license requires an active Internet connection to launch the PixInsight core application, and it will expire after 45 days from the date of request. Once expired, a trial license won't be able to run PixInsight anymore.
